Measuring about 2 to 2.5 inches (5 to 6.5 cm) in length, Diamond Tetras possess a slender body with a slightly elongated shape. Their most remarkable feature is their reflective scales, which vary in color from a silvery sheen to a pearly iridescence. This iridescence is accentuated by a subtle hint of gold, adding to their allure.
